Easter 2008

Easter was fun this year. Everyone gathered at our house for dinner and special treats. Jarem and Lexi looked for eggs, while the adults had a trivial test (written by me). For correct answers, one of the kids would go down and find treats in the basement where Dad hid them. Jarem went down with them several times. At the end, there were two clues to find the ultimate goal.... the Easter Basket. Alisha found it this year (it was on the back porch). We learned a lot about Easter customs and symbols. I even stumped Marc on a few of the questions. The rest of the evening was spent dividing the goodies, having dessert, and doing taxes.

Cute!

Taken in Feb. 2008

Lexi's hair finally grew long enough for pigtails.
Jarem and his sun glasses.
I loved how he posed for this picture.

Ryan and Yunuen

In Ryan and Yuni's Branch, they had a culture evening. Each family that participated told about the country they lived in. There were beautiful displays and also good food to sample. Many showed their talents. Yuni is from Mexico and so they did a Mexican dance. It was awesome! Yuni's mom sent her this beautiful dress. She looked so pretty and Ryan was very handsome. Andrea, Marc, and I enjoyed being there and supporting them. Fall of 2007.

Silly!!!

This picture is a "mom" one. Andrea's smiling and not making faces (which she likes to do). It was taken this past week while she was in Disneyland with three of her friends.

Andrea called this her "dad" picture. Quite often he takes his glasses off and puts them upside down for a funny picture. So...Marc...this is for you!

Halloween

My friend told me how to add pictures. It is so fun, that I've added several. I think blogging will be more interesting now. In the past, I haven't known what to say. Now I can find a picture and add interesting comments.

Halloween of 2007, Jarem wanted to be Mickey Mouse. Alexa was a Cabbage Patch Kid. I made both of their hats, while Alisha attached Jarem's ears and Lexi's red braids. Andrea was a girl on Teen Girl Squad. Yuni was a Lamanite Princess and Ryan was a Professional Wrestler from Mexico. Alisha was part of Lexi's costume (the cabbage patch) and Jason wore a Halloween T-shirt. Jarem really got into saying "Trick or Treat" and by the end of the day...was VERY tired. It was another great family occasion.

Halloween of 2002, we were invite to a Uhrey Halloween Party. It was at Marc's oldest sister, Vikki's house. Marc's other sister, Sandra, hosted the party. We decided to dress up as the Adams Family. To our surprise, we won the first prize in costumes. I'm not sure what we won, but it was exciting. We had fun dressing up and acting the part. I couldn't find a cheap doll with dark hair and so Andrea took the time to color it with black permanent marker (it hangs around my neck).

My Parents

My Parents: Merlin and Leota Stone. This was the last time they played together before my mom passed away. This event was Alisha's wedding. My mom died the following June 2002, and my dad died in January 2007. They were wonderful parents. I will have to tell some of their stories in blogs to come. I really miss them!

My grandkids.

I am so excited to show all those who read my blogs my two adorable grandchildren. They are so much fun!

My Friend

Tonight I helped my friend, Ronni, create a post. She's ten years old and it was so fun to help her. I know she will love blogging. I am amazed at how well the younger generation understands computer skills. I wish I was as confident. Good luck Ronni!
